A Portrait of The Outlaw Doc Middleton from my Outlier Series. Ive always had a fascination with Western and the true life chararcters they portrayed, the gritty nature of the time and the sheer brutality of the Wild West. These outlaws were often feared and revered, often referred to as the Robin Hoods of the Wild West. I wanted to capture their essence and immortalise them further. The colours not being a true likeness but a representation of the tough times and fearless unrelenting lives they led. Dirty and Earthy and a little menacing with strong shadow plays and a restricted palette.
